Attorney Robert “Chip” Mues Has A Long & Distinguished Career

Mr. Mues graduated from Wittenberg University in 1975 and the University of Dayton School of Law in 1978. Since graduation from Law School, Mr. Mues has been practicing law in Dayton with an emphasis in Domestic Relations litigation. He joined as a partner at Holzfaster, Cecil, McKnight & Mues, in January of 1992.

In 2002 Attorney Mues received the coveted designation as an AV PREEMINENT® rated attorney. This accomplishment is the highest such rating available to any individual lawyer.

How About Taking A Different, More Holistic Case Approach?

I believe that utilising a more holistic and collaborative approach to “uncouple” spouses is generally much wiser, effective and results in better tailor-made solutions. Don’t get me wrong, contested litigation proceedings are still needed, but should primarily be reserved for situations where a spouses taking unreasonable positions or if you have to defend yourself from this “bullyish” type of approach.

I have focused my practice handling thousands of domestic relations, family law, divorce, and custody matters for over 40 years. I have come to believe that the*win at all cost” philosophy in divorce matters is antiquated, misguided and not usually a prudent one to pursue for a multitude of reasons.
